COLI BOKARYA SYLLA

Coli Sylla is a neurodivergent screenwriter, director, husband and father whose African heritage and lived experiences fuel a bold, character-driven approach to prestige procedural and serialized drama. A 2024 RespectAbility Entertainment Lab Fellow, he was also named one of ISA’s Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2024 after winning the Grand Prize in the 2022 Creative Screenwriting TV Pilot Competition. Sylla’s work is defined by emotionally charged, socially conscious storytelling that interrogates mental health, identity, and justice. Often drawing on a peculiar and complicated relationship he has forged with law enforcement, he gravitates toward crime and legal narratives that blur the line between personal experience and systemic critique. Fearless in both subject matter and craft, Sylla creates dramas that are unflinching, authentic, and deeply human.

"Kelvin Nuñez is a multimedia artist and storyteller whose Dominican heritage and Philadelphia upbringing shape a bold, underdog-driven voice. His work spans music, film, photography, and literature, using each medium to challenge perspectives and illuminate overlooked communities.

A Hamilton College graduate, Nuñez developed an interdisciplinary approach to narrative, culminating in Dónde descansan las almas — a Senior Fellowship novel exploring identity, masculinity, and culture, accompanied by an animated trailer and original rap-bachata soundtrack album.

Defined by authenticity and emotional clarity, Nuñez’s storytelling blends written, auditory, and visual worlds to create work that empowers, reframes, and brings humanity to stories too often left in the margins."
